Dentist - Dr. Raviraj Sharma
Dr. Sharma obtained his dental degree in Bombay, India in 1988 and practiced dentistry for 12 years before moving his family to Canada in 2000. With little more than 2 suitcases, a wife, a new daughter and a dream of building a dental practice, he embarked on a journey based on faith, on trust of his skills and on his experience. He graduated from Dalhousie University’s Qualifying Program in 2004 and worked as an associate dentist for the next 4 years. Dr. Sharma chose to establish his practice in Niagara Falls because of the beauty of the region and the family friendly atmosphere.
Dr. Sharma has continued his education and has invested in extensive training in dental implants and all other aspects of general dentistry. He has dedicated his career to enhancing the lives of his patients, both esthetically and functionally. The dental team at Pinewood Dental Care has been carefully selected health care professionals who share Dr. Sharma’s vision of patient care. They support the belief that good overall health begins with oral health. They continue to upgrade their education and enjoy educating their clients about the value of preventive treatment that will ultimately save their patients time, money and the risk of future dental discomfort. The Dental Hygienists at Pinewood Dental Care believe that early detection of dental disease and raid access to treatment is the key to preserving oral health.
The mouth is the gateway to the body, the link between oral infections and other diseases in the body that is well documented within the health care community. As member of the health care team at Pinewood, the dental hygienists have a distinctive clinical and educational role to play in promoting good oral health for a lifetime. They are not just teeth cleaners-they assess, plan and implement treatments that prevent infection and promote healing. They are an integral part of the health care team.
Dr. Ravi Sharma’s mission is to change attitudes and beliefs about dental care by taking the time to listen to his patients and provide an environment where his patients feel relaxed and comfortable. The ability to improve a patient’s life and affect it in such a way that they feel better about themselves is what he expects to achieve with each and every patient. Creating value for his patients and making them always feel that they are very important permeates all aspect of the practice. Dr. Ravi Sharma always welcomes new patients and appreciates having the opportunity to be of service to the residents and visitors of the beautiful Niagara Falls.

Jessica: Graduated with honors from Niagara College Dental Assisting
in 2006. After practicing Dental Assisting for 1 year ( with Dr. Sharma!) I
continued my education with the Dental Hygiene program at Niagara
College. I was the student rep for my graduating class and was chosen
for a pilot Interprofessionalism course during my studies. Graduated with
Honors in 2009 and have been practicing ever since! I love the career I've
chosen and couldn't ask for a more fulfilling line of work. Helping create
beautiful smiles is priceless!
